I would very much like to get discussions going on the topic of PTSD, either in a general way or more specifically such as PD, FD or Military. I am open to suggestions. Even if you just have questions and no answers, feel free to post the questions. There are many readers here. Some may have dealt with exactly what you are dealing with.

You can remain anonymous, if you prefer. I've been told that starting out, anonynimity is helpful. Everything about PTSD feels like a big risk. If you just get started with understanding it, you'll find that you'll develop a better understanding of yourself, as well, and can begin to make changes so that you feel better on a daily basis.

Anyone who has suggestions or comments about PTSD disussions and topics can either post here or email me at aneagle@aneaglescharms.com

Thanks!

Those with PTSD have said that exercise and Martial Arts, especially Tai Chi, are beneficial. Concentrating centers you, while exercise burns off excess energy. It also breaks negative patterns, including thought patterns, for some. You may have to force yourself into an exercise routine at first. It eventually gets easier.

Diet can play a part in stress relief. Cutting down on caffeine and sugar helps.

Success with stress relief is individual. There is something that will work for you, the trick is to keep trying positive activities and dietary changes until you find what you are looking for. As with everything, consult your doctor for your specific circumstances.

If you have a tip that's worked for you, post it now!
